I like to believe that if I'm very good I'll to to Portland when I die.

I want nachos, donuts and another tattoo. Maybe that's what I should go do on spring break. It's only twelve hours drive. :eyes:

1. Isn't that awesome???
Hey I was just reading about some vegan nachos made with the new (not yet available but soon) "teese" cheese check it out:

http://cafevegnews.blogspot.com/2008/02/vegan-nachos.html

I'm not a huge fan of that Follow Your Heart cheese but I do like the Toffutti sour cream on nachos, I just make them with beans, salsa, guacamole, fake sour cream, jalepenos no cheese. I'm kind of used to it but will try the new kind!

Where do you live LM?

I find L.A. super veggie friendly....Angelinos & visitors, have you tried the vegan brunch at Madeliene's bistro? So good! Champagne, beignets, french toast, yummy scrambles and the works!

I hate tattoos though, LOL....

2. It's a cool "mini-mall"

I've been a couple times since Food Fight! relocated. In addition, The Red & Black Cafe (worker owned) reopened about half a block away, with a new, all-vegan menu.

3. That sounds nice
I'll definitely check it out if I'm ever up that way.

'm still enjoying the fact that there are actual vegetarian restaurants within a few miles of me now, rather than what I had before which was an effort to find maybe one meatless dish on a menu (which was usually deep-fried junk food). And finding veggie food in grocery stores is no trouble at all compared to what it used to be. Oh, the joy. :bounce:

4. Hey, I posted about a NorCal meetup in the CA forum, if you're interested
We'd definitely do it either at someplace vegetarian or very veg friendly, 1. since several of the likely attendees are veg*n and 2. if I'm doing the arranging I'd like to get to eat.

They have about eight skillion veg*n places to eat up there (and about ten parking spaces, but I digress.) I'm enormously jealous.
