Poor, Neglected Suri Cruise - They Don't Give Her HAPPY MEALS!
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 01:40 PM by K8-EEE
OK first of all the Cruises do indeed seem like weirdos in many ways and I don't envy this child growing up in that household, but did anybody see that tabloid headline "Suri's Strange World" or something, one of the big bullet points (along with, she has to play with Scientology kids only etc.) is NO HAPPY MEALS!

WTF! I feel so guilty for ever having bought my kids that crap even occasionally when they were little, I was totally clueless.

Isn't it a weird mindset that these filthy, unhealthy & cruelly produced junk food items in the trash-producing packaging with the made-in-China "toy" (which usually gets tossed in a landfill the same week) is somehow considered necessary to being a "normal" child?

Blech!! The idea of forcing some kid "finish your McDonald's hamburger" is borderline child abuse IMO!

1. Uh, the kid's only a few months old.
She shouldn't be getting anything but human milk or some nutritionally deficient, dangerously inadequate substitute for human milk (ie "formula.")

Her parents are fucking bizzare, and their cult is fucking bizzare, but not feeding the kid junk food isn't a bad idea at all. Goes to show a broken clock is right twice a day.

3. I think she's around 2 years old now actually
and I have to step in here and say I know a lot of scientologists who are normal, nice people. One of my best friends is one - has been forever.

And good for the Cruise's for not feeding crap to Suri.

4. Okay, I looked it up. She is almost two.
Still, good for them for not feeding the poor kid crap. Sure, it's probably for some crazy reason, but still a good idea.

2. sure is a strange world out there...
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 08:21 PM by peacebuzzard
I am so used to eating my vegan fare at home ... I find it so strange when I do go out that the rest of the world eats all that crap...

As I was belly up to the organic foods counter today downing my double wheatgrass shots today a lady was so perplexed what to order for her friend who wanted a "burger" for lunch. Her and the friend were newbies to the world, and I guess she was more or less the "burger" friends tour guide in the strange new world.

I am glad they were entertaining the new ideas and food. That is how it starts.

on edit I confess it has been decades since I had a "burger" but my diet has evolved from poulty/fish to ovo lacto veg to vegan just in recent years.

5. OMG, that woman I worked with 16 or so years ago was right
She said "no matter what I do my kid is going to end up on a therapist's couch because I didn't give him Spaghetti-Os". After reading that Suri is neglected because she doesn't get Happy Meals I realize that woman was right. Aye caramba.
