Soyrizo by Franklin Farms

Paul picked up this All-Natural Vegetarian (actually Vegan) Chorizo at Woodman's in Oak Creek last week. We were kind of put off by the way it looked in the package (I won't go into details on that one...)

But I sauteed it up with some mushrooms and mixed it with Pasta & Chreese. It was wonderful. I took a bit to a friend at work who is trying to eat more vegetarian things and he sauteed it with peppers and onions and put it in a soft-shell taco and he said it was every bit as good as chorizo.

The website for Franklin Farms is: http://www.veggiburger.com (and that is the correct spelling...) but unfortunately I cannot find the chorizo on there.

If you're able to find it I suggest giving it a try. Hope you enjoy this Veggie Delight.

Soyrizo is awesome. The trick is to follow their cooking directions closely: quick fry, high heat. It tends to turn to mush otherwise.
