Help please, I found this bird-

I found this bird in my yard, it seems like it's wing is broken or something. I tried to make it comfortable but I don't know what else to do. Do some kind of county services deal with this stuff, should I bother calling? Or I could just make a cage for it and feed it and water it.. til it dies or something? :(

I'm gonna ask my mom and my aunt about it but I know they're just gonna say for me NOT TO TOUCH IT.

If it happens again, check for a phone number for your state wildlife officer (or county officer). They can at least direct you to a wildlife rehab place if there is one, or else give you some advice.

5. See if there is a wildlife rehab in your area.

Usually they will take it and nurse it back to health.

6. I called our Animal Welfare League!

I think they were gonna help me, they do help wild animals that are hurt, but when I was waiting for them to call me back the birdy died. (I just hope I didn't scare him to death.)

Next time I'll have their number ready, I'll be prepared or something.
I've been feeding the critters here for so long, it's a wonder this is the first time this has happened.

Thanks to everyone for responding!! ^^^ I just had to tell what was going on, I was feeling helpless. I got a nice picture of him before he passed though, and immortalized him on the internet O8)
