Follow Your Heart vs. Tofutti
My HFS now has Follow Your Heart brand cream cheese & sour cream. This is the same company that makes Vegenaise. I did a taste test & the Tofutti brand wins with both products.

3. Tofutti now has two versions of these products.
One has hydrogenated oils & the other one doesn't. My local Safeway sells the hydro versions, but my HFS sells the non-hydro versions. My understanding is that they couldn't get their product in lots of HFS until they went non-hydro.

Tofutti links:

non-hydro sour cream: http://www.tofutti.com/ss-hydro.shtml

4. That's true.
Our food co-op has a no hydrogenated oils policy. They're considering making an exception for non-edible items (lip glosses and such) but for the longest they didn't have tofutti stuff for that reason.

2. I do like the Tofutti Sour Supreme
None of my HFS carry the Follow Your Heart sour cream, but I'd love to try it.

5. Whole Foods should be getting it in.
They use a screwy regional approval system so it's possible they haven't approved it for their stores on your coast yet, but they've had it here for a while.
