1. That would suggest we have a complicit and ignorant congress.
Oh, wait...

Seriously, nothing shocks me anymore with our "leadership". Our congress is an absolute failure at this point.

2. In related news, water is wet.
I do think part of the problem is that as a movement (to the extent that we are one, which is a big part of the problem) is not doing a very good job of controlling our own public image.

3. We also have a lot of idiots in our movement.
When you have a general campaign of disrupted property, dns attacks, home protests, etc, and then give the idiot masses the ability to link that to firebombings, and you've just ruined it all. Firebugs put the anti-animal research movement into the stone age. Idiots.

Then you've got douchebag Vlasak advocating violence and murder "as the spokesperson for the animal rights movement" and yeah, congress, trained flying monkeys that they are, are going to be easily persuaded that we're all terrorists.

4. Do not fucking get me started on him.
He needs to STFU, because he doesn't speak for anybody but himself.

5. Every old-school activist
and every reasonable young individual in this hates him, from what I've heard. I spoke to a long timer, author of several AR books last week, and he was like, "who the fuck knighted that asshole anyway?"

I'd really like to take this all back from them. Seriously. I'd rather have Atwood at the information helm on the net, and Best as spokesperson.

Uh, not that I advocate anything either of them might say or post on the internet.
