TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS.....
I just called the 2 state senators office in Georgia imploring them to support and pass on March 12, the Georgia State.. Bill 606 Anti-Gas Chamber Bill which will end euthanizing innocent animals by gassing them to death..

They told they they've received only about 20-30 phone calls so far. Considering how important this bill is for the animals I don't think that number is going to be of any influence in the rigid minds of gov't representatives in supporting and passing this anti-gassing bill..

I live in NY state and I'm forwarding this to people in all states... I hope all of you will also crosspost the desperate need for everyone to take literally one minute of their time and call these 2 rep's in the Georgia state listed above. Those 2 simple phone calls may just make the difference for millions of animals suffocating to death in these barbaric gassing facilities.

It takes them 25 minutes to choke to death..in the GAS CHAMBERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No euthanization method is humane....I PRAY ONE DAY our innocent animals will finally be granted the same rights to their lives as we humans are.
PLEASE PLEASE CALL AND CROSSPOST.

ask your vets & their staff--we really need their support!--ask your friends/ relatives/anyone who has ever adopted from you to spare two minutes to make those calls to help stop the gas chambers.
thank you

PERMISSION TO XPOST
no longer use language that accepts the current concept of animals as property, commodities and/or things. Rather than refer to myself and others as "owners" of animals, I now refer to myself and others as "guardians" of our animal companions and to animals as "he" or "she" rather than "it". I urge you to do the same.

WE ARE RESCUE WE PULL THE DOGS/ CATS FROM DEATHROW & FIND THEM HOMES WE OPPOSE THIS ANTIQUATED, BARBARIC FORM OF SO CALLED "EUTHANASIA" WHICH IS SUPOSED TO BE "MERCY KILLING'..INSTEAD IT'S CRUEL, IMMORAL ..THOUGH LEGAL. IT'S TIME TO STOP THE UNNECESSARY TORTURE & CRUEL SLAUGHTER OF GA'S UNWANTED PETS.. IF THEY CAN'T GET ADOPTED..WE FEEL THEY SHOULD BE PUT TO SLEEP..PAINLESSLEY..IN 90 SECONDS , BY INJECTION, ADMINISTERED BY A LICENSED VET THANKS FOR JOINING OUR CAUSE..
WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE ANIMALS, WHO HAVE NO VOICE..& NO HOPE//HELP THEM PLEASE TO GO "GENTLY" INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT! THANKS TO ALL, WHO WILL MAKE THAT PHONE CALL!!

1. See, now that's how you write a Bill.
Eliminates the Grandfather clause; specifically bans any form of gas chamber.

Well done.

2. I recently rescued a GA puppy from the chambers
He was within a couple days of being gassed, along with 7 other beautiful young dogs. I would have taken all 8 of them if I possibly could.

He arrived already the most wonderful pup. About 6 months old, he housebroke himself quickly. he just seemed to understand instinctively He's not destructive, he only wants to please. And he is cute, cute, cute as the dickens.

Thank you for posting this. I will call tomorrow.

3. Update:
Edited on Mon Mar-16-09 09:03 AM by ehrnst
The Georgia House Livestock, Poultry and Aquaculture Subcommittee and Senate Agriculture Committee, both heard testimony on Grace's Law this week.

No vote was taken by either committee, meaning the bill remains pending and will be taken up next year.
