The ignorance is glaring....I must wear shades!

Last night a guest called the front desk. There was a flying...something....in her room. They sent the engineer up. I had an order next door and was there when she was freaking out in the hall about a "bat" being in her room. Comedy of errors ensues. The woman looks at me. I tell her that as soon as I'm done with my order I'll be happy to come help. The engineer says he's going to go get sheets. I finish up my order and walk next door. I open the door and the woman starts to freak again about why would I go in there? I close the door behind me and walk over toward the window. The engineer comes in with sheets big enough to cover a king-size bed. I look down at her "bat". A small bird had flown in through the window and now could not figure his way out.

I took the sheet and gently covered the bird and scooped him up into my hands. I then took him outside the hotel and opened the sheet whereupon the bird immediately launched himself skyward.

All that to-do over a birdy. Silly people.
