http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=231x19375to try Madeline's Bistro (yummy beyond belief) I sat down and noticed the white haired man at the table next to us wearing a sweatshirt with the words "sea shepherd"
running down the arm. I wasn't positive it was him until more people showed up and a few started calling him "Paul." We mentioned something to the waitress and she said she worked catering the night before at a fundraiser.
By the time we left there were about 14 people sitting there. I assume many were crew members, and some certainly work for the network that produces "Whale Wars" which I have not seen yet.
Some look familiar from this page
http://animal.discovery.com/tv/whale-wars/meet-the-crew/When we left, my fiance stopped by and mentioned to Capt. Watson that he is a hero to us and the work he is doing is important to the world. I was too shy and went past him. Paul seemed to be happy that we recognized him and got a big grin on his face.
God, it was amazing. I was thinking that here he was, someone who is considered a terrorist by many groups, just having brunch with his "posse." I was happy to see he doesn't have to travel with security.
And yes, that porcini tofu benedict was absolutely to die for!
