I know a lot of people dislike PETA, and many of the reasons for that sentiment are perfectly valid. However, https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=2515">this video speaks for itself. The message isn't any less cogent simply because PETA is its herald.

PETA does some great investigative work, and that leads to real results in terms of how people view our treatment of livestock animals.

I am a member of HSUS and the ASPCA, and I never seen investigative videos with them like I do with PETA.

6. At risk of openin' up a can of worms...

are you suggesting that there are no "perfectly valid" criticisms of PeTA? Because as a member and staunch one at that, even I have criticisms of them that I think are valid...I tend to have them about everybody and every organization though.

Generally, I love and support PeTA because of their investigative work and the results it garners. I do cringe however over some of the commercials and stunts they pull...not because they are tasteless (as that is in the eye of the beholder) but because they're by-and-large counterproductive.
