"Unanimous Verdict: Fur Is Back!"
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 05:58 AM by SemiCharmedQuark
Someone cited this website in a Peta thread. Not only do they cite the hand picked quotes misrepresenting Peta, but their articles are suspect. One is from the Hudson Institute, still claiming to be non-partisan.

And this to me, is truly disgusting. They're trying to get kids to think as they do. I've never met a kid that thought it was "ok" to slaughter animals because we are at the top of the food chain. I guess they are out to change that.

The coloring book is so deceptive. It portrays "farmer bob" as a caring farmer who treats his animals so well it's a wonder they don't just willingly head towards the slaughter. Aside from the fact that the treatment can't be that good when the end result is the animal being killed, of course, most farming doesn't take place on farms like "farmer bob's", but horrible factory farms.

1. This just in!
From the Afghan Opium Grower's Union: Heroin is Back!!!

From the Plantation Owner's Union: Slavery is Back!!!

What a bunch of tools. Then there's this quote: "and the rise of the animal rights movement, which for strategic reasons targeted the small and vulnerable fur industry."

Awww, poor wittle fur industry. Can't we mean ol' animal rights people leave them alone so they can anally electrocute animals in peace?

:puke:

2. Good ole' fur commission, follow the money....
...my favorite game!

Check out their supporters on their resources page, including several USGov links:

That's why I usually ask an anti-AR/Veg poster to provide a source for their info and/or quote. 9 times out of 10, it comes from one of these orgs too:

3. Those are some truly ignorant sites.

"People Killing Animals" probably the worst one I've looked at so far. All I can picture is cave men.

7. Big-ass fur coats, worn for show, are totally neeedless
I do give a pass to Russians and Siberians in fur hats, though; such gear is genuinely useful in a frigid climate which reaches -60 degrees F routinely.

8. You bet your ass it is!
Nevermind that one of the fur outlets near me had a going out of business sale last week.

BTW, I'm not a vegetarian. I just found my way down here and couldn't resist.
