Super-slim Mike Tyson scoffs a six course Indian meal
Iron Mike Tyson stunned diners at a curry house after turning up looking more light-weight than heavy-weight – before scoffing six courses.

The former world champion, who had ballooned in weight until turning vegan this year, was a shadow of his former self in size and washed down the meal with honey TEA.

He and his team of bodyguards had dropped for a curry at the Bombay Brasserie, in Peterborough, Cambs., while visiting the city to perform an after-dinner show.

Fearsome Tyson, 44, notorious for biting a chunk off Evander Holyfield’s ear in the ring, had all his dishes specially cooked to meet his vegan requirements.

<snip>

He started his mammoth meal with a mixed salad dish topped with chilli and soy sauce before tucking into six curry dishes.

Tyson scoffed a Bombay Aloo and Sag Bhaji and Cauliflower Bhaji followed by an Aubergine Curry, Mushroom Chilli and Chana Masala with one large plain rice.

Now how is this for inspiration to go vegan? Mike Tyson of all people! :D :D :D

And wow does this food ever sound good? Alright, who has recipes for any of the above? :9 :9 :9

:dem:

1. Vegan? Honey Tea?
Doesn't compute for me. I'm not even vegan and I don't consume honey.

3. I don't understand the aversion to honey
I am not a vegan, but are the bees somehow being abused to make the honey? Isn't that just what bees do? (Not trying to be facetious)

4. Yes, basically.
Honey harvesting is just about impossible without crushing at least a few bees. Once the honey is harvested, it's replaced with a sucrose syrup or corn syrup (depending what is cheaper in that locale) which is largely devoid of nutrients and much of the hive starves-off over the winter as a result.

(I don't eat honey for a simpler reason...I'm allergic to it. (and beeswax and bee-stings and generally bees. Also ants.))

2. Mmm, sounds like a good meal.
Even if he's only a Level 4 Vegan. ;)
