We grew "Russian fingerling potatoes" and Rocdor yellow beans
Microwaved them and tossed them in olive oil. Added a tiny amount of salt and pepper.
Harvest time is heaven.

1. I've never heard of either
yet it still sounds delish.

Someday, I'll have my own garden. I'm jealous.

2. I love the creaminess of fingerling potatoes.
They do so well on their own, but I also enjoy slightly mashing them (with a few other veggies) into a thick potage.

3. Last year, we grew "French fingerling" potatoes
The seed potatoes are expensive and we have to buy them mail order. However, it is a hobby and we love it. We only got about 15 pounds this year. The heat was trouble.

4. We're looking at making a potato box next year:

I haven't grown potatoes for over 2 decades, so it'll be fun to get back into the habit. :)

5. That looks sound to me!
I just grow them in a row.

6. I've always done a row, but this approach appeal to my Inner Geek.
:D

Since I've started container gardening, I find myself drawn to interesting uses of limited space.
