The former heavyweight champion has been quite vocal in his love for the vegan scene — saying that it has allowed him to slim down and gain energy.
“It’s been eight months with this vegan stuff," Tyson told Details magazine back in July, "but I get these explosions of energy. I don’t know how long they last, but they’re like explosions. So powerful.”
“I ate, like, the tiniest piece of meat, and I woke up violently sick,” he added. “It was vicious pain. I was throwing up. And I realized meat’s become a poison for me now.”
According to the NY Post, the 44-year-old may be looking to take his newfound passion and turn it into a business. The paper reported that Tyson is in talks with Moshe Malamud of the Franklin Mint to launch a high-end restaurant chain with a focus on kosher food. The pair met at Solo, Malamud's favorite kosher spot, over mushroom soup and mixed vegetables.
"They discussed the concept as well as the name, but nothing was finalized," a rep for Solo said.
