Made a 'new' sauce tonight...
While making some breaded tofu I decided to make some vegan tartar sauce (which in our house has always just been Vegenaise and Sweet Pickle Relish). Today I decided to make it a bit different and added a bit of Bragg's Liquid Amino. It made it pretty darn tasty.

1. Bragg's Liquid Amino is nectar of the gods.
Amen.

2. How much Bragg's did you add?
I've recently found a vegan "fish" (from Sophie's) and I need a good tartar sauce to use with it.

3. I only added a few drops...
We don't make a big batch of it as we don't use a lot.

4. Did it bring the tang?
The thing I really miss about non-vegan tartar sauce is, well, the tartness.

I've found a place that makes a mean fake fried fish, but they serve it with Vietnamese sauces. I just want to smuggle a batch of vegan tartar sauce into the restaurant, and I'll be set! :D

5. I'm going with no on tang...
It gave it a bit of salty flavor but not what I would call tang, per se.

6. Ah, well. That's one of the things I miss most about "real" dairy.
Sour cream with tang, tartar sauce with tang, yoghurt sauce with tang, etc. I think I've found my next vegan cooking research project. :)
