Anyone know of some adopters in Maine?
Homes sought for 30 domesticated rats
ELIOT, Maine — The town's animal control officer is hoping to find homes for 30
domesticated rats taken from a Bolt Hill Road mobile home last month. If homes
aren't found, they will be euthanized....
Mainely Rat Rescue volunteers and Buckley called numerous rescue organizations
in Maine and New Hampshire. All but 30 rats were taken — eight here, 15 there,
from as far north as Brewer, and Conway, N.H.
The remaining rats, all caged, are currently housed in a garage next to the
station. Mainely Rat Rescue volunteers have come to Eliot three times to provide
food and shavings, Buckley said.
Those interested in adopting a rat are asked to call Buckley at 207-752-4865.
