What do you think about the Gerson therapy?

All of the evidence I've seen has been very compelling. I know that if I come down with cancer I will turn to the Gerson therapy first. Sadly I couldn't get my father to even entertain the idea when he developed esophageal cancer earlier this year (he has since passed). He wouldn't even look at any evidence. Why are some people so afraid of anything that doesn't come from Big Pharma? Is it also because it's based on an all organic plant based diet and some people have a knee jerk reaction to veganism?

There are other documentaries out there; Food Matters, Fat, Sick and nearly Dead, The Beautiful Truth, Forks over Knives, and more that basically say the same things. The cure rate is very high, and yet people won't talk about it. Why?
