What utter Bullshit. The spanish don't want this "tradition", it's kept for the sake of the tourists. Besides since when are all traditions good?
And as far as sports go, hell, the Aztecs used to sacrifice the losing team. Let's bring back that tradition.

3. Slavery was a tradition.
It was a longstanding tradition that women not be allowed to vote.

As far as a cultural thing, so is female gential mutilation.

Tradition and culture are no defense for pure barbarism.
