Ulysses Zimmerman

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/fayette/s_356012.html

Ulysses Zimmerman has owned dogs all his life and considers himself an animal lover.

Yet, he found himself standing at a busy intersection near Uniontown Thursday morning holding a sign that read, "I Plead Guilty ... Animal Cruelty is a Crime ... My Dog's Name WAS Salt and Pepper." He endured hours of verbal abuse by passing motorists.

The Fayette County man, 22, pleaded guilty this week to animal cruelty charges for the strangulation death of his 7-month-old dog in June.

Under a plea agreement with Fayette County Humane Officer Robin Moore, Zimmerman agreed to hold the sign at the intersection of Route 21 and Matthew Drive in South Union Township from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rather than pay the $750 fine and court costs.

1. Oh great....
"Overwhelmed by the incident and all the attention, Zimmerman said he is eager to start over. He's planning to move to West Virginia in September and hopes to get another dog."

He is probably goping to be my frickin neighbor.

Poor baby had enough by noon.

3. Why did he have a choice in sentencing?
If I was the judge, he would have served prison time. To let him off this easy sends the wrong message.

Congrats to all the passing motorists who gave him a hard time.
