Upgraded to OSX - Can I Trash The "Previous Systems" Folder?

I upgraded about a month ago. I have an old iMac with a 6G HD, so I'm looking to open some space. Of course, I'm worried that I'll delete programming that I need to run Classic, but my Previous Systems folder is eating up 809M of space. If I could dump it my free space would double. I need to run Classic for Quark & MS Office 2001 (I can't afford to upgrade right now).

Short of "buy a mac with a bigger HD" what are your suggestions?

1. yeah as long as you go through it and make sure you don't need anything

from there- but if you have been up and running for a month and you are sure everything is fine than go for it!

you can also delete OS9 if you want to free up more space (provided you don't use any apps in OS9).

and there are free programs like "delocalizer" that remove all those extra languages you don't need- might free up another 800mbs of space!
