Help -- mail program on my mac won't open -- well it starts to open and

then just quits -- and I get the submit bug to apple note. I've tried about a dozen time and it keeps quitting. Any ideas??

1. Have you tried restarting your computer?

The first thing I do when I have troubles is to shut down the computer, wait 30 seconds, restart and repair permissions.

2. I tried that -- finally just called Apple and we trashed my

preferences and it's fine now. latest upgrade was in conflict with something the guy said.

Also told him to work on the failure of Safari to completely block popups.

3. Glad it's working again

The problem with the popups is not unique to Safari. I have the occasional popunder with Firefox. It seems that some advertisers have discovered a way around the blocking software.

4. Just what we need -- by the way -- mail quit again and I to trash the

preferences all over again. I may be calling them back soon.
