3. Amazon is giving rebates on pre-orders.

i just pre-ordered the family pack for #199 with a $50 rebate. That comes out to %75 per mac since I have only two. Lots better than $200 per machine on windows.

I have heard that Apple does not do any "authorization" scheems like Microshaft, ao I could have bought just one, but I'm a democrat, so I was raised with the concept of honor and personal integrety. If I agree to their EULA, I abide by it. Shows my age, I guess.

Boy being a repug would be cheaper, but not as personnaly satisfying.

5. Plus Apple is one of the good guys...
well, at least Steve Jobs is. Not to mention that with Windows, you are paying $200 for crap, and with OS X, you are buying art. :)
