Firefox display problem on imac
I have an emac and use firefox with no problem. I just set up firefox on my parent's new imac, and am having a problem with the side scrollbar.

When a page loads, I either see no scrollbar, a tiny 'sliver' of the page, or grey space up and down the side where the scrollbar should be. I can scroll, I just can't see the bar.

Any idea how to fix this? I've played around with every setting I can, but it didn't help.

1. Does the new iMac have system 10.4?
My new one does - got it about two weeks ago, and several web sites that worked fine on my pld system (10.3.9, Safari 2.0) don't work well, or at all, on my new system.

I don't have any fix for you, either. Just curious about the new system.

4. it sounds like you have a theme installed...
Many of the themes for mac for Firefox have this scroll bar problem. I don't know why someone doesn't fix it. It has been like that forever. I would just switch back to the default Firefox theme (the other one I use that works is Plastikfox) and restart Firefox and you should be fine!
