New to Group. Just installed Tiger. Anyone have this happen?
I have a charcoal and gray G4 400 mg with gig and a half of memory.

Tiger is running very snappy,
but I am having a problem with the
dock.
When I have magnification on, it
sticks in the "magnified" state, and
only unsticks when I clik on another
menu, like File.
I turned off magnification, and
what sticks now is the little popup
that says "Remove from Dock, Open
at Login, Show in Finder..." etc

actually, it's stuck open right now,
which is handy for me to copy when
typing this, but still not ideal.

I am wondering if my machine
is not fast enough, or what.

1. I turned off magnified and the genie effect. Both suck cycles
I don't know why it is sticking. Anyway, you don't need the magnification unless you have a lot of items in your dock.

What I would do is open the dock preferences and see where the dock magnification is set. change it to see if that helps. If changing the magnification doesn't work turn it off.

2. The macintouch.com website is an excellent resource
for all kinds of info on dealing with all kinds of problems.

3. I remember this was a problem with 10.4- when I upgraded to 10.4.1 the
problem went away for me.

I did read about it in the various 10.4 first release "bug" forums-- try macnn.com and apple.com for threads on it.
