if i have cable internet, and word for mac, how do i fax?

can i fax my word or appleworks docs?
do i have to get another program installed or something?
somehow i used to do this with appleworks, but it doesn't seem to be an option on OS X.

1. Print Dialog box i believe...

at least in 10.4 - it is on the PDF dropdown menu on the lower left. Of course you need to have your phone line plugged in to your modem.

3. faxes

only go over phone lines. i had the same misunderstanding, thinking i could email a fax over a wifi connection.

4. you can get an efax or similar account

that allows you to send the document to a remote location via the internet that forwards it as a fax. they also provide fax recieve.

5. We use VOIP, and use that line over the DSL line.

You have to have some sort of phone line, though.
