My daughter and son in law looked into getting broadband and dropping their dial up. Problem was that their computer is so old it doesn't even have an ethernet card. It would suffice for dial up, but the whole machine was just not up to what they wanted to do, so I sang the praises of the Mac, while warning them of the Mac virus that infests anyone who does the switch.
I showed them the alternatives that they had available. He's an elementary school principal so I showed him the iBook, which he could take to work and still use at home with MS office installed. They seem very impressed withe the mini in my kitchen and since they have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, it would be perfect for the house. As an educator he should walk out with a hefty discount, I assume.
Bitten by the Mac bug, I don't want to be cured. Doing good to others by freeing the victims chained to windows.
