At least I think this is why: Apple computers are designed from the ground up as a unit to work as an organic whole. Each 'organ' of the 'organism' is designed and optimized to work with the rest of the 'organs'.
Windows computers, on the other hand are cobbled together from generic parts that are supposed to meet certain specs, but who knows how closely they meet them.
An analogy would be to compare Albert Einstein with Dr. Frankenstein's monster. Dr. Einstein was created as an organic whole, optimized to work as a unit. Dr. Frankenstein's creation, on the other hand was sown together from generic, even purloined parts, they all meet the 'human' specs, but the fit just isn't optimum. You can still see the stitches and the neck bolts are sticking out in the air like antennae. Hell, you can even hear the fan running that cools it's brain.
At least that's how I rationalize it. Am I wrong? Comments?
