Good Morning, Everyone!
Can I ask a question about my new iPod in here? I purchased a 30GB iPod Video yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how to get a movie on it. The help file says I have to upload the movie to my iTunes and then convert it to play on the iPod. I have Brokeback Mountain on DVD and want it on my iPod...but how do I get it from the DVD to iTunes?

Any help you can give me would be great! Oh, by the way...I use XP.

1. the first thing you need to do
assuming, of course, that Intellectual Property Restrictions don't exist, which they do, but if they didn't, and you wanted to do this, you would..

a: find a program that will copy the DVD to your hard drive. The good people at google can help you with this.
b: find a program that will convert DVD video to the iTunes format. (again, the good people at google are worth consulting)

be aware that this is of quasi-legality at best. and enjoy.

The outdoor shots and scenes in the wild are too vast and beautiful to sully it with a 2" screen. Do yourself a favor. Watch it on your big 45-70" TV or find a friend with one. This movie deserves a big screen experience.

I don't know how to copy copy protected movies, but I do hear they if you do, the DVD leaves a cookie flag on your HD and the FBI can find out what you did, what film it was, and how much of it (incl. the FBI warnings:D ) you recorded if they ever go after you.
