Connecting a SCSI peripheral using a cable to USB. Is it possible?
Have a Mac Mini without external SCSI connector. No surprise there. However, I have a Canon FS2710 Slide Scanner that I would like to occasionally use with this computer. Installing a SCSI card is out of the question. Has anyone tried connecting a SCSI peripheral (any SCSI peripheral) using a USB Serial Adapter? How did it work?

I know they sell these types of cables. And I know that Canon does not recommend this, although they do not say it won't work. They just don't recommend it.

Any ideas???

1. It won't work.
No Mac has had built in SCSI capability in years.

There no way to make it work with Mini that I know of.

2. Nope, see what Onehandle said. I have an old SCSI scanner myself...
...and I keep an old Powermac networked to this iMac just to operate it.

3. How about a SCSI to FireWire adapter?
I can't endorse or review this product, I've never used it. But OWC has been a good company to deal with in the past.
