Someone PLEASE tell me
that the photo editing interface in iLife is better than iPhoto. MS owns Apple on that.

2. iPhoto is part of iLife.

Not sure I understand the question....

iPhoto is part of iLife. So the photo editing interface in iLife is IN iPhoto.

4. It's expanded than the old iPhoto, but still limited.
It's accurate for color temp, exposure and saturation, and has a better sharpening tool than Photoshop, but it's still not very extensive.

Nothing beats a dedicated Photo editor such as Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop or Nikon Capture.

PSE just came out with version 5 on Windows, so I'm assuming that an Intel/Univ version of PSE 5 will come soon for Mac. I'm using PSE 2, so it's about time for me to upgrade. It's got 90% of what the big PS has. No need to spend that much unless your a graphic designer and really adept at it.

iPhoto tip. The "Adjust" levels gui sometimes hides offscreen just at the lower left edge. Drag it out. Took me 15 minutes to figure that out.

7. I'd like to make Graphic Converter work for me but
I found that it was very quirky. I have let it be since. Will try it again--I would like better Iphoto manipulation ability too.
