1. Look under the "View" menu to see if you can

restore the Address Bar and the Bookmark Bar.

Well, thank you! - right before I saw your message, I reset Safari.

That did restore everything. Unfortunately, now it's like I'm reprogramming a brand new comp :((.

But I really appreciate your help - if this ever happens again, I'm gonna follow your advice.:thumbsup:

6. I've been using computers since the 80's and I am still a
rank amateur. There's always something new to learn.

I played with Linux for a while and it really has enhanced my OSX experience. There's a whole different world of computing inside that terminal in the Utilities folder.
