I use Safari as my main browser. I love the private browsing feature for work. If I leave my desk no one can go to my history and see what I have been reading etc.
When I updated to Leopard I was so happy - DU allowed me to post while having Private Browsing enabled.
Not anymore. I cant post while I have Private Browsing enabled. I don't know what happened - but its on DU's end.
Anyone else have a problem with this?

1. I don't know about that |
|
I don't have Leopard, never liked Safari as a main browser, and never tried private browsing. But after downloading the upgrade to Tiger and getting the new Safari with it, I am positively astounded how fast Safari has become. Amazing.

mainly because its awsome at standards (Im a web designer). I always design in Safari and then fix it for other browsers.
I have found that the problem is I have a log in cookie stored for DU. If I turn Private Browsing on before visiting DU I cant post - but if I visit DU and then turn it on I can post. Must be Private Browsing does not enable any cookies that have not been used yet in your session. SO maybe its a Safari issue after all.

I've just installed the 10.4.11 "upgrade" and now Safari 3.0 crashes about every six pages, on average.
Gives me great confidence in upgrading to Leper

7. Well, resetting is the simplest thing in the world |
|
just go up to the Safari menu at the top (next to the blue apple) and click: Reset Safari. It cleans out the cache and history and all that junk. It should run a lot faster after that.
Personally, I don't upgrade operating systems until the .1 or .2 release. Give it time to get the bugs worked out.

my inbox will be filled with "password reminders" for the next six months :\
Tried resetting most of those checkboxes, crashed three pages later.
Wonder if I can "backgrade" to the previous version by copying from another mac?

5. I haven't had it crash so far |
|
But it's only been a couple of days. It used to crash on me a lot, which is why I avoided it.
