How do I do this?
Does anyone know how I can transfer OS X files to another disk so that I can boot from it?

I don't have an installer disk to clone in Disk Utilities. All of my current OS files are on a firewire drive that I use to start my computer.

I'd like to transfer the necessary files to startup on to my internal drive.

2. Thanks for replying.
I believe I can clone to my internal drive using Disk Utility.
Only problem is, it's too small to copy the whole boot drive.

I've painted myself into a corner with this, and am just trying to find a way to avoid buying a Tiger disk from Apple. Maybe I should just fork it over to Steve-o.

3. I'm not sure if disk utility will let you pick and chose what you want cloned.
CCC will let you make a minimal bootable disk, which you could copy over to the smaller drive.
Then add as much or as little as you want back on the internal.

But yeah, it may be time to get a disk, then use migration assistant or something.
