Thank You JEEEEzuss .... and Time Machine.
I was working on a large CAD file today. I had a saved copy from yesterday. I routinely rename such files daily so I always have a back-up in case I screw up something .... a habit left over from Windows.

Aaaaanyway .... I am about to send it to my client. I did some last minute manipulation and hosed it. Nuked. Fried. Buhbye.

My backup from yesterday, of course, did not have anything I did today. My deadline is tomorrow morning.

My life was flashing before my eyes.

Sparkly heard my anguished cries.

"Time machine, ya stupit clown."

How COOL is Time Machine????? Since I hadn't done anything worth saving in the last hour, I was golden. I did what I needed to do (but did it right) to get it ready to go and now ..... its gone. My e-mail is wending it way through all those internet tubes to my client.

If you depend on your computer to make your living, spend a few bucks on a back up hard drive and use Time Machine. I have a 1TB drive just for that and another offsite 1 TB drive (at my partner's office) to back up my backup. I have her 1TB back up backup here.
