http://openoffice.cs.utah.edu/stable/3.0.0/ It appears that it's just for Intel Macs.

Are you aware of NeoOffice? the version written specifically for the mac and OSX?

2. Oh yeah. I used it for at least a year. Pretty good, but I wanted to see
just how Oo stacks up. So far so good.

3. Do you still have to go through the hoops
and X11 install to get it to work on a mac?

That hassle is what sent me to NeoOffice, which has none of that.

5. I kept having formating problems with OO
but none with NeoOffice (which i use exclusively at my solo office)

7. I used the beta on my macbook
now the final resides in my HD, as well as the Win machine, and hopefully by this afternoon in my linux box

So far I have had no trouble on any machine
