belly up before the economy rebounds.


I guess it might be good to look at which company has the most cash on hand and the least debt.

1. Microsoft is in trouble... oh wait, you said hardware
(yes kiddies MS is in trouble since their dog has not sold as well... )

Reality is I think we are entering the age of ON THE CLOUD apps and probably cheap, almost disposable hardware

2. I think the iPhone/iPod touch will outlast the Netbook. The netbook could
be the Edsel of this bitter end of the decade. They are too big for the pocket, and too slow and small to be a "real" computer.

3. Don't know, my little lappie runs GIMP
very well thank you... and loads OO3 fast

Now it is running Linux, which ain't for the faint hearted... and it is slower when the same machine runs XP

As to too large for the pocket.. I carry it literally everywhere. It fits in my bag well... and I don't carry that large of a handbag.

Now if I can find my PDA... misplaced it again and I need to get all my contacts into my lappie

I bugged them enough that they decided to include us Mac and Linux users in their streaming audio.

It's one of, if not the oldest college radio station in the world.
