Wonky Airport Extreme

I am posting from my ethernet connection because my Airport Extreme base station I somehow don't have set correctly.

I can turn it on and see that

1) the connection between AE and my MacBook is working.

2) the DSL modem connection is functioning correctly.

3) but the connection between DSL and MacBook isn't there. Safari tells me "cannot find www.democraticunderground.com or you may have typed the address incorrectly."

I have it set for DHCP but there is probably some setting I'm missing.

Help?

1. Go to Preference -> network

Then make sure the box is checked to allow to join.
If that doesn't work try the assist me on that page.

Try reseting the router also if that doesn't work.

I think it might be the permission to join.
