I have a 10.4.11 OS

I want to watch some alpine skiing on my Mac and it requires this download from Apple. I was going to download it bit I got a warning that said it contained an application.

I seem to have Quicktime already on my MacBook 2.1, but that won't allow me to view the skiing content I wanted to see. Do I really need to download another version of it?

1. If your Book...
meets the minimum requirements for the new quicktime, then yes, no problem. No, if the video you are trying to view has some hidden app, not so sure.

3. If you have OSX 10.4, why would you download QT 7.5.5 for Leopard?
Apple has a download for Tiger: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/quicktime755fortiger.html

Warning that the download contains an app is, I think, just a safety feature: if you think you're downloading a graphics file, for example, but somebody has actually put a app there, you want to know about it; if you already knew you were downloading an app, the warning is just an extra opportunity to be sure you're doing what you want to do
