Facebook crashing Safari?
Ever since I started seriously using FaceBook over the weekend, Safari has crashed on me several times. It closes out everything and I have to reopen Safari.

Anyone else experiencing this?

1. I started using facebook to keep
up with family members who live out of town only. Yesterday I accidentally clicked on an advertisement site from there and Safari froze. All I had to do was reboot. I'm getting off that site and will keep in touch with family some other way. I've used safari for years and have never had that happen. I've heard of people having all sorts of problems with that site.

2. You might try the last suggestion here:
http://www.macfixitforums.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=441910

namely
exit safari
open terminal
type (or cut-n-paste) defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
hit return
reboot
in the new drop-down menu, select agent and in the resulting list select a different browser agent

People have apparently had the same problem with Firefox

If you try this and it doesn't work or you really hate the new drop-down menu, I think this can be undone simply by

exit safari
open terminal
type (or cut-n-paste) defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 0
hit return
reboot

Another option would be to download another browser and see if it gives you better results; I'd suggest Opera, but Camino has fans in this forum, and there's a recent thread here on OmniWeb, too
