What do you guys use instead of Quicken?
I do not want anything to do with Intuit or any of their products.

Is there a Mac equivalent?

I need to keep my checkbook and import statements/data from my bank.

Very . Simple . Stuff

2. Yikes...I need to actually READ your post...missed the "no Intuit" qualifier
Sorry. I've also heard about a product called Liquid Ledger that's for mac, but I don't really know much about it.

3. The Mac version of Quicken is already available
But we've already decided "No thank you!"

We downloaded a trial copy of First Edge from MYOB. $99. It does what Quicken does plus more, but not as much as Quickbooks. They're a small business located in NJ and their tech support is in .... New Jersey! That alone makes me favor them. But we're not yet sure about the software.

I was told about Liquid Ledger by someone else, too, but haven't yet explored it. I may also try that.

Right now we need to just get through taxes. After DAYS of hair pulling, we managed to fix a botched (**their** fault) Quicken upgrade on one of the PCs and will use that to get taxes done. Then we are GONE from Intuit. Their tech support is completely horrible.

We are almost totally done with Windows and we would prefer to leave their crossover software behind, too.

On our business side, we **try** to use only software that started on the Mac and was ported over to PC, not the other way around.

Thanks for your comments! :hi:

5. Just about any spreadsheet. Why pay for another piece of software?

4. I found a download on the apple website I love.
http://nothirst.com/moneywell

There is a free trial (200 transactions) and then you can buy it for about $50. Its super easy and I love it. There is also a support forum/group on google.

6. iWork's Numbers has a check register template already to go.
It's easy to use, and since Quicken can't get my account balance downloaded from my bank (I guess no Mac support), then all I need is a check & savings register.

iWork is cheap compared to MSOffice and damn good software.

7. Sparkly bought a three seat license for iWork
We have it on all three Macs, but she's the only one who is starting to use it. I **must** be seamlessly, perfectly, invisibly Word/Excel compatible for my business. So we're experimenting.
