Question about Pages 09

Anybody know if images are automatically embedded?
I'm creating a brochure that I have to email to other users, and I don't know if I need to provide them with the native images files or not. Thanks.

There is no links palette like in InDesign or Quark.

The file size is huge so that's one indication images are imbedded
