few days ago, it couldn't connect. that got better when i booted. but now it can't see it's tether. can't play, can't charge. maybe it will wake up better after it dies, but damn.
if it doesn't i may just upgrade. really, really sorry that dh didn't get the extended warranty when he bought this for me. that is the only thing that keeps me happy with mac. as long as my shit is covered, i am happy.
but i am going to need the sucker this weekend. got a long ride to a show, and even tho i have been there before, it is a good place to have that gps.

1. Is it about 40 days old? My guess is that the battery is buggered.
I had an iPod 3 years ago that quit charging after 40 or so days, just after the 30 day warranty. I did get a warranty, but they "completed it" when they gave me a new one. Both devices use the same battery.

2. i did get it to wake up, but
it is a little over a year old. so, you guessed it, shortly out of warranty. don't know why dh didn't buy the extended. he almost always does.
the battery is hosed up, but i am sure it is a software problem. was acceptable before updating then it when back to sucking like it did when it was new.
why do i buy this shit?

3. Do you know how to force restart it?
Hold the power button and the select button down together for five+ seconds.

6. Have you updated to v. 3.1.2?
That was supposed to fix some buggy behavior.
