WTF? I rented a movie (on iTunes) and cannot play it on my AppleTV.

Look for updates to AppleTV software.

2. Apparently, I cannot transfer movies that I rented of iTunes (in the computer)...

to the AppleTV so I am forced to watch the movie on my macbook. What a PITA!!!

The movie is ready to be viewed on my computer but it isn't transferable to Apple TV. The unit is up to date.

How in the hell I'm supposed to know that I couldn't do this? All of my library is transferable, even the movies I purchased on iTunes move freely to my Apple TV.

3. Oh! rental. I bet that is part of the DRM to prevent the movie from being
copied to another drive.


Attach the Macbook to your TV. I attach my Mini to my TV to view movies on a big screen.

4. Yup, that must be why. I thought about connecting but I don't have a cable.

5. You should be able to find the cables cheap at Best Buy or other such places.

7. It was a homework thing.
An old movie.

Now I know better not to rent from the computer but only from AppleTV.
