Shiira, the free Webkit browser has had a long awaited update. I'm using

it right now and it is rock steady.

It's pretty fast, how fast I have no idea. It's fast enough for me.

1. Do you know why there's not a link to it from the Shiira website?

I have version 2.2 and find an attractive little browser with some very nice features: it does a good job of decomposing webpages into their elements, for example

But parts of the Shiira website have become password-protected, and I can't see any recent updates to the site -- nor can I find a link to version 2.3 on the site. I personally prefer not to downloads stuff like this except from the official site

2. That is weird. It needs some work. The preferences doesn't work.

3. Maybe it's just a build from the current draft workproduct not intended for full public release yet?

4. Not sure, the "about Shiira" said v 2.3. I will stick with my

favorite three , Safari, OmniWeb, and Chrome. Three WebKit browsers is enough.

I'm using Chrome at this time. I like the plugins and themes.
