Ok guys, long story... but I have gotten to the point

Ok guys, long story... but I have gotten to the point
where I will either GIVE my mom my Macbook or get her a Mac Mini... (No windows machines should not fail on schedule, almost, every year. And no it is not her, long story, nor is it windows.)

What is your experience with the DVI cable on the Mac Mini? And I am serious, I am willing to be mac less as long as my mom has access to a machine that is virus proof, with SKYPE.
