The new delivery date is July 2nd. It took me hours and hours yesterday to 'reserve' an iPhone 4 for my wife and I yesterday.

Not taking any chances on the 24th. I will be lining up at 5 a.m.

2. Well, if you really need one asap, Apple Stores will have a 'limited supply' for 'walk-ups.'

I would suggest camping out pretty darn early.

'Customers can no longer reserve a phone for in-store pickup on launch day, though Apple stores will have a limited supply of iPhone 4s on hand for walk-up customers.'

I spent several hours on Tuesday trying to pre-order one. Finally got through on the Apple site.

Seven more days! :D

I'm having it shipped. I'll work from home that day so I'll be here when it arrives.

8. got an email
I got an email from the Apple Store saying my iPhone is arriving a day early. Sure hope it gets here by 10:30. I've got a meeting at noon. Guess I don't have to work from home on Thursday after all!

9. iPhone arrived
Mine arrived this morning at 10:30am, EXACTLY when FedEx and Apple said it would. Almost to the very minute, lol.

It's beautiful, and amazingly fast. I can't believe how good the screen is. It really needs to be seen to be believed. And I love the new design--I was never a fan of the curved plastic back on the 3G.

Activation went without a hitch. Overall, I'm very pleased.

10. Got ours at the Apple Store this morning.
Edited on Thu Jun-24-10 08:28 AM by onehandle
Reserved two. Arrived at the Mall at 5 a.m. About 400 people were already in line. Two years ago, when I got my 3G, I was about 12th in line after showing up at the same time.

About an hour before the store opened, they separated us into two lines: One with reservations, one without. 75% of the people ahead in line did Not have reservations, so I ended up being around the 100th in line. They opened at 7 a.m. and I walked out with my two iPhones at about 7:40.

The screen is insane. I cannot even look at my old iPhone 3G. Pull up the New York Times on both and look at the difference.

Wow!

I got a 'Bumper' too. It was the only case they had in stock and only in black. Which is ok, because that's what I wanted.

:)

11. Mr. Tesha walked into our local Apple store this evening and bought me one.
No reservation, just good karma, I guess.

So now I've got a nice shiny new black iPhone 4 and he's got a
ratty old iPhone 3G (at least until the white iPhone 4 ships). I've
been playing with it most of the evening and is it ever SWEET!
The display is incredible as is the speed of the phone.
