Or rather the spring.
I got to laugh though, while waiting for my appointment I went over to the Microsoft Store... looking for a portable drive for the nettie... and I wanted to see prices.
Mind you nettie is on the truck, carrying one computer is enough for me. So kid comes over as I am looking a the EEPC that does the tablet trick and starts rattling stats. First I hate that aggressive sales technique, and I have told that to the people at the Mac store too. but I had nothing better to do, so I started asking some really deep questions. I KNOW tablets, I've owned tablets... and I found what I feared. This kid really had no clue of the merchandise he was selling. I can read the stats too... so I asked the damn obvious question... will this run in tablet mode with ONLY ONE Gig of RAM? (Evil of me I know, since I know better... XP ran fine on one gig, but win 7 needs two)
Now I gotta say, when the IPAD came out the staff at the Mac store could not ask deeper questions either. But hey. I got a hobby... and asking staff questions that are off the beaten path is mine. On the bright side I don't have anybody pester me at the Mac store now... LOL... and I hope the same at the Win store. By the way, for the record... their drives were overpriced... and so was the EEPC...
Oh and on the pick the Mac vs the Microsoft store... if I did not know computers or mostly Logos... they are so damn similar, all the way to floor layout, and uniforms, it is down right scary.
