Want to make a website

Any suggestions for sites that are free or cheap that I can build a nicer looking website? Anyone have any experience with the Mac hosted one? I don't want to be stuck with something that is non-creative or a with problem ridden website. Plan to post art related stuffs, photography, a bit of writing and a few items to sell occasionally Thanks

1. Apple has a lot of templates, and you can cook up your own.

I've made a couple using KompoZer. But now I just use the Apple templates to display my images.

3. I also use .me to host images I show on DU.

I made a DU folder in my sites folder.

4. what is .me? Do you have to pay? Is it just for images or can you do a whole

website with text on it? I feel sooo stupid.

6. .Me or MobileMe is the new name for .Mac.

Yes, it is about $100 a year. It gives a lot of goodies with the account.

7. I use Sandvox and Live Oak Hosting.

I run my own company, Talking Puffins Design Studio (www.talkingpuffins.com) and my husband has a printing company (www.printerator.com). We both use Sandvox for creating our websites (we each use a different template) and it has upload abilities.

Our sites are hosted by Live Oak Hosting...real people whenever you call...more expensive, but worth it to have wonderful support!
