So I tried an android, bad hardware
Edited on Thu Oct-14-10 03:23 PM by nadinbrzezinski
Finally decided to get the PAD, in-spite of limitations. As a book reader it works very well, and good reader does quite a bit with the PDFs I need to read.

It works ok for light word processing, but until my back gets better, well it works well while on my back.

Yes, bought mine at the PX, and if I decide to get the keyboard, then I'll go back, and get that as well.

Loaded nook flawlessly, as well as kindle. Had to buy HD versions of three apps. And got pages thigh find myself using docstogo still.

1. The Android OS is not currently appropriate for a tablet.
It might not have been bad hardware at all; they're working on a tablet-friendly version of the OS, which should be ready sometime next year. As of now, though, Android can run on a tablet, but you should probably stay away just yet (as you discovered).

2. No trust me, nothing to do with the screen
I loved the OS and the ease of market.

It was a bad sd card reader. It corrupted files within 72 hours. That was like a record.

3. Well I must say
Goodreader kicks some major ass in processing PDF files. I know you guys knew about kindle and nook.

On my back on the sofa... This allowed me to get work done. Last time I had a bad back not like I could get the PC to the sofa.
