The new Apple TV is a very nice device
I received one for Christmas, and it's a slick little box. Easy set-up, easy to use, plays just about all of the content that I have on my Mac (with the caveat that it has to be in the iTunes library. I used to use my TiVo HD to stream Netflix movie, no more, the Apple TV does it so much better with a much better interface.

I previously had the original AppleTV, bought it the first day it was available, this little box blows it away.

All-in-all it's a winner.

1. Agreed
I didn't own the original version, but I picked up the revamp earlier this year. I love it. I ended up ditching my cable and saving myself some money--there's plenty of stuff to watch on Netflix.

3. I wish I could drop cable, but two other people in the house rely on it for entertainment
It's also a decent high-speed internet connection and I've never had problems streaming HD from Netflix with it.

6. Fept internet
I kept my Internet connection with them, just dropped the TV part. Cut my monthly bill in half. I have yet to rent anything via iTunes on the apple tv, but it's only a matter of time.

2. I bought the Samsun bluray player with internet access last week.
So far, it only does netflix, vudu, pandora and a few other minor things, but I am hopeful that it will do more in the future.

Even though my connection is relatively slow (cell phone connection), the netflix app is working really well.

4. I can understand you wanting one device to do it all.
Have you tried the netflix app for the iPad yet, I loaded it on my sister-in-laws and she does use it from time to time, and has no problems with it.

5. I use netflix on the ipad a lot. My husband likes to read in bed, and I like to put
on the headphones and watch a movie or TV series. Due to the small screen, the streaming has been pretty flawless, even with our slow connection.

Just got through the second season of the Tudors and loved it! I am hoping that netflix will be adding more and more streaming options, as getting mail is sometimes very tricky for us.

7. I currently have a Roku for my non-digital TV, but if I ever get an HD TV, I'd rather get Apple TV
because then I could stream what I download from iTunes.

8. Can you stream videos off the internet with it?
Does it have a browser? Thanks.

9. No
AppleTV2 does not have a browser. You can stream video from Netflix, and iTunes.
